Obituary of CHARLES DAVID WARD

Charles (Chuck) David Ward, age 77 of Eustis, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 26th, 2021. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 1st, 1944. He was a member of the Morning Star Cowboy Church in Leesburg, Florida.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Carol Ward; Sister, Geraldine Ward Swisher; Mother, Huldah Ward; Father, Wesley F Ward; Nephew; Wesley E Ward; Brother, Wesley Eugene Ward; Sister, Charlene Ward Darst; Sister, Roseanna Ward Simmons; Great Grandson, Levi Speck & Great Grandson, Oliver Erlenwein.
He is survived by his children: Chuck (Jenny) Ward, Patty Ward (Rob Brammer), Christine (Jeff) Ward Danner, the mother of his children, Pat Ward King; Brother, Keith (Connie) Ward; sister, Karen (Tom) Spiess; Brother, Dale (Susan) Ward; Stepdaughters: Kim, Debbie, Rebecca; Grandchildren: Stephanie Kocher Mack, Corrin Kocher, Cameron Kocher, Ashley (Jeff) Speck, Marcia Ward, Jessica (Brandon) King, Jeffrey (Liz) Danner, Marlena (Andrew) Erlenwein, Austin Danner, 15 Great Grand Children, many nieces, nephews & friends.
As I, Patty Ward, write this, my heart is selfishly sad. For my dad, I am happy, as he is rejoicing in Heaven with God and reunited with those who passed before him.
My brother, Chuck; sister, Christine, and I are incredibly happy for the loving care he received and want to thank the staff at Lake Eustis Health and Rehabilitation Center in Florida.
When he was young, Dad was a member of the Boy Scouts. He also enjoyed photography and developing pictures. Later in life he did weddings, dance studio pictures, little league teams, senior pictures and more. Dad was a member and Past Master Councilor of Whitehall Chapter Order of DeMolay in Ohio.
Our Dad was an outdoorsman through and through. He loved being out in the country, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his horses. After a day out hunting in the woods, he loved coming inside to hot, fresh baked cookies and a glass of ice-cold milk.
He and Carol loved to go dancing, spending time with their many close friends and going to church.
Dad also loved reading books, westerns, and history, however, he mostly loved to read his Bible. Every morning and every evening, he would spend hours reading God’s Written Word and fellowshipping with Jesus.
A Celebration of Life will be held later in July. Details will be given very soon.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to any Church of your choice, a ministry or to the Humane Society in your area.
Cremation Services were completed by Beyers Funeral Home & Crematory in Leesburg, Florida. We can’t thank them enough for their tender care during this time.
