Harold “Wayne” Steed, 71, of Bushnell, Florida passed away in Ocala, Florida on May 28, 2021. He was born in Hernando County, Florida on January 23, 1950 to Walter and Myrtle Steed. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was Baptist in faith. He enjoyed fishing, racing RC trucks, gardening and spending time with his brothers. He is survived by his sons: Wayne (Lisa) Steed of Ocala, Florida; Eddie (Keri) Hendershot of Claremont, North Carolina; grandchildren: Brittany, Chelsea, Courtney, Lucas, and Isaiah; great granddaughter: Lorelei, who lovingly called him “Pops”; brothers: Don (Diane) Steed of Floral City, Florida; Larry Steed of Floral City, Florida; Elwyn Steed of Floral City, Florida; Many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his wife: Marie Steed; brother: Jerry Steed; parents: Gerald and Myrtle Steed. A service will be held on Wednesday, June 02, 2021 at Florida National Cemetery with visitation at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel from (12-1:00pm) with Pastor Larry Steed officiating.
